To promote the development of science in Korea and to advise the Government for the formulation of enlightened policies the NAS hosts one academic research seminar and one policy research seminar every year. The objective of these seminars is to derive maximum advantage from the latest results of the scientific researches as well as the expertise and professional knowhow of the NAS members. The academic seminar and the policy research seminar are held in May and November respectively, each year. Seminars other than these two are also organized by each Section once every year.
